The 5 Day Weekend

When people ask what I do with myself I tell them that I work 2 days in Melbourne and then have a 5 day weekend. (See also a previous post on this subject.) Some parts of those 5 days are taken up with "faffing" which is Sylvia's term for cruising the internet. (What she really means is not doing what she has on her list for me ).

Well imagine my surprise when I discovered the Friends of the 5 Day Weekend! Their aim is "to reverse the U.S. workweek so that Americans clock in for two good days of work, followed by five well-earned days off" - a sentiment that I heartily endorse.
