The holidays are over!
Well after 12 months of planning the six week whirlwind trip to the UK to visit a few relatives, do the coast to coast walk, followed by a week in northern Spain with friends from Edinburgh and a week in the Dolomites in northern Italy with Anni is over and I'm back at work. (Frank is currently seven day weekend man :-))
I can't believe it went so quickly. For photos go to http://fns-c2c.blogspot.com/ preferably using Firefox rather than Internet Explorer as the Everytrail maps on the C2C pages don't seem to work in IE although the Spain and Italy pages seem OK in either.
Frank and I sat and watched the Grand Final this afternoon while also watching the weather and the wildlife from the lounge room window. It rained, the sun shone, it rained again and then it hailed (twice) and then it rained some more. When we tried to do our normal walk around the block we found the track had turned into a creek, or rather that a small creek was now flowing down the track.
There was a family of red-necked wallabies out front and two joeys were practice fighting. Its incredible just how far back they can bend their necks - gave me a headache watching them.
