Phil and Mara’s wedding weekend Easter 2013

As Phill and Mara were getting married on the Mornington Peninsula on Easter Saturday we decided to make a long weekend of it and so booked a holiday house called Blue Oars at Balnarring Beach. It was a very comfortable house and very well equipped. The only downside was that dogs were not allowed off leash on the nearby beach and the “secure yard” wasn’t quite secure enough for Ian who managed to escape between the ceremony and the reception. (Well actually he probably escaped within half an hour of Matt and Erin leaving for the wedding). Once again he was picked up by someone nice and when Frank went to collect him he was sitting on the couch with them watching TV!

Ian was very good with Toby and only growled once (in surprise) when Toby bit him on the bum. (Yes Ian is the dog and Toby is the baby and I have got it the right way around).

Gerda, Phill, Mara & Rien Time to relax

Phill and Mara had planned to get married in the gardens of the Willow Creek Vineyard but the weather might that plan B had to be brought into action. Instead they were married in the Barrel Hall and I think they were some of the most heart felt wedding vows I have ever heard.
