Almost the end of May
Last weekend Graham gave me permission to take David Fletcher out again to take some more photos. The weather was a bit mixed but the light was beautiful late on the Saturday afternoon. I even managed to get a couple of half decent photos of the Sheet of Water.
Had a very mixed week, full of ups and downs. Looks like I'll be finishing up here at the end of June. Work were prepared to extend my contract until the end of September so I could apply for my job when it gets advertised internally, but that would mean at least another 4 months of living apart from Frank, and I simply can't face that, which is a great pity as I like the job and enjoy living here. What will be will be.
Had a great 24 hours with Carol. Collected her from Ararat train station on Wednesday night and stayed up talking until gone midnight. Poor Carol I bet she wished I'd shut up so she could go to bed. We had a leisurely start to the morning as it was foggy and only 2C still at 9am. We left at about 10am and did the Chatauqua Peak Bullaces Glen loop walk, getting back to Halls Gap at about 1pm.
Carol kindly bought me lunch but nearly lost hers to one of the cheeky kookaburras who are far too adept at stealing food right off your plate given half a chance. Luckily the latte glass that it knocked into Carol's lap as it stole a chip was empty. Carol was relieved to find out it wasn't her quiche sitting in her lap.
