Sometimes it can be difficult to get to the washing line - well without disturbing the visitors anyway! Since the rain last weekend we have even more kangaroos visiting the block than before, I guess they're after the little green shoots that have appeared.
I did try and get a decent photo of the rather large flock of cockatoos that were polishing off the last of the seed from the grass trees the other day but unfortunately the photos didn't work too well - there must have been around 30 birds out back.

Frank and I spent most of Monday (I had a rostered day off) upgrading the dog yard which was originally built for Daphne when she came to visit. We soon relaised when Zwartje moved back home that it wasn't going to work as the poor old dear is a bit arthritic and she didn't like the ramp very much. So we now have a slightly fancier enclosure with steps from the deck down to ground level. This seems to meet with Zwartje's approval :-)

In case you were wondering the gate is for the humans, otherwise it makes it very difficult for the other arthritic old dear to get in and out of the laundry!
