Not so much a veggie patch more a work of art!

Frank has been slaving away at the difficult and dangerous task of making us a vegetable garden.

What's so hard I hear you say, don't you just put in a couple of garden beds and away you go? Well no not here you don't. Here you have to make sure that the kangaroos, the emus, the rabbits, the echidnas and the birds can't get to your veggies and eat them or dig them up! So Frank constructed something that would have done him proud on "Grand Designs" (ABC Thursdays 6pm).

It started out looking more like a modern sculpture than anything else. Mind you he didn't have a plan, a budget or a timefram so that would have got him into trouble. But we're both rather pleased with the end result.

And the dangerous part - well when Frank was looking for timber for the door he uncovered the biggest redback spider I have ever seen, she was huge! We threw a cork down next to her to show just how big, and yes she was still alive at the time!
