A great year for orchids

We only found greenhoods and helmet orchids on the block this year but during our walks we have seen Wax-lip Orchids (Glossodia major), Thelymitra antennifera (Rabbit-ears), Diuris pardina (Leopard Orchid), Diuris sulphurea (Tiger Orchid), Caleana major (Large Duck-orchid), Caladenia carnea (Pink Fingers) and unidentified spider orchids.

Glossodia Major - Wax-lip Orchid

Diuris pardina(?) - Leopard Orchid

Caleana Major - Large Duck-orchid

While working out in the Park I have also seen Thelymitra matthewsii (Spiral Sun-orchid), Prasophyllum subbisectum (Pomonal Leek-orchid) (a first for the Park), Caladenia iridescens (Bronze or irredescent Caladenia) one or two of the beard Orchids but not sure which, Caladenia Grampiana (Grampians Spider-orchid), Caladenia alpina (Mountain Caladenia), and Caladenia filamentosa (Daddy Lonlegs Spide orchid).

There have also been masses of various lilies and other wildflowers.
