Not an emu or a kangaroo …

While we were doing the cryptic crossword over lunch today Frank spotted a visitor out of the window. Bit larger than the usual bird life and further out to sea, but not so far that it wasn’t clearly visible – a whale. It must have been there for about an hour. It was hard to get a good photo but these give you an idea. The surfers obviously recognised its three companions as dolphins and not sharks :-) At one stage (with the binoculars) I could see the dolphins surfing alongside the guys on their boards, but the dolphine were just under the waves not on top.
