Busy week
My five-legged house guest.
On Friday I went out with Mike and helped to set up the cages and the elliot traps during the day ready for mammal monitoring and then in the evening we had the science behind fire presentation. Frank and I didn't get away until about 10.30pm.
Saturday and Sunday I was rostered on patrol so Frank came out with me on the saturday and we were rangers together. Well I cleaned the loos etc. while Frank had a bit of a walk around and checked out the wildlife, including what looked like a very young Kookaburra and the rear end of a very fat Echidna.

The warmer weather seems to be bringing out all the reptiles and we saw heaps of stumpy tail lizards on the road. I pulled up at one stage to check one out to find him wrapped around my tyre, but not in the way that you might think. Check out the photos.

Anyway I was pretty tired yesterday as we didn't get back to Willy until 9pm Sunday night, so I wasn't at my sparkling best when I delivered my honours presentation. I also hadn't practised it enough, so not optimistic for a high mark for the presentation - ah well. Anyway off to visit Dad now. I'll try to load the photos later when hopefully the Internet is not quite so slow.
