I really hate moving house

Telstra were supposed to connect our landline on Friday afternoon but didn't show - surprise, surprise. Frank insisted on us moving into the new house asap. We slept there on Friday night. He and Tom moved most of the stuff from Bellfield to Fyans Creek on Saturday and then Frank finished it off on Sunday and cleaned Bellfield (despite work having paid for the stuff to be moved :-). I was on patrol at the weekend, boy was it hot.

The removalists packed the stuff up in Williamstown on Tuesday (including my recovered settees and dining room chairs) and then moved it here on Wednesday (yesterday). We are now drowning in furniture and cartons (45 large and 30 small boxes) I don't know where we're going to put it all because the shed we were promised would be finished by last Tuesday wasn't delivered until then. It won't be finished until next week when Frank will be on fire camp.

The front veranda looks like a second hand furniture shop and you can't move in the spare bedrooms. I had some rugs steam cleaned before we moved but I'll have to get one done again as it's dried with a dark shadow down one edge. The reupholstered furniture looks really nice although it's darker than I remember. I have to work today but I'm taking tomorrow off to do some more unpacking. I spent about 6 hours unpacking boxes yesterday and only managed to do about 15 - 60 still to go! Although where I'm not sure :-))
