First day on the new job

Well it was a bit of a cold start given the lack of electricity at the house - would have worked better had the landlord and the real estate agent given me the right address. Hopefuly when I get home tonight I'll actually have power (light and heating) otherwise it's another night of cold food by the light of the head torch:-)
I must take a photo of the view from the office window tomorrow - unbelieveable.
The people are all really friendly and the job sounds both interesting and challenging. I have to go on a week's camp to learn how to be a fire-fighter, not sure when as yet. Anyway I'm off to buy bread as I have to take a packed lunch tomorrow as we're going out - so much for the diet.
