It's Brett's fault!

What's Brett's fault? Well the Blog is in a way. Ever since Brett and Fay started on their sea change and their blog I have looked forward to hearing about new jobs, bike rides and bird sightings etc.

How did I end up with a job in the Grampians National Park? "Frank's fault" and for old friends that will sound oh so familiar. I saw the ad for "Park Planner" in July and emailed Frank to say that if circumstances had been different I would have loved to apply, he said "do it anyway" and guess what? I got it!

Since I was offered the job a week ago it's been frantic. Looking for places to live, a fridge, beds etc. But Matt, Erin, Frank and I still managed to squeeze in a few climbs, in between house inspections and somewhat less than favourable weather conditions. Although Frank and I got very very cold last Sunday on Queen Bee :-(

I'm looking forward to the new challenge but I'm also a bit worried that I'll miss my better half, although he's off to Adelaide and Perth in the next week or so. And we have Thailand in November to look forward to. I just hope that once I've moved that I can settle down and complete my honours year - I would hate to have come this far and not finish.

eBay has been a bit of a challenge with some bargains, some missed opportunities and some good purchases that might not have been quite such bargains. Although an iron, an electric jug and a sandwich toaster for $22.50 sounds good to me.

I'll be taking the binoculars and the Simpson and Day with me so that Brett and I can continue to compare bird sightings, and I'm hoping that friends will visit. Too tired now... more later
