Busy Days
It’s been a busy few days. Sunday I took Dad to visit Fred and Eunice, and then spent a few hours working on the thesis. Then Frank and I headed off to Halls Gap. Monday I went to work while Frank worked from home.
Mike and I took one of the new bosses from head office out to view a few things in the park, such as some of the water authority’s infrastructure and potential habitat for the brush-tailed rock wallaby. Mike managed to get mud on both the inside and the outside of the 4WD – I was sort of glad I’m not 4WD certified as yet, especially when we ended up almost sideways on one muddy track alongside one of the channels – with my luck (and lack of driving skills) we would probably have ended up in the channel!
Tuesday I went to Ballarat to discuss Section 27s and MOUs – the slightly less exciting aspect of the job and in the evening I spent another 2 or 3 hours on the thesis. I have an almost complete draft now of around 11,000 words and so I think I’ll ship it off to my supervisor for his feedback. While he’s wading his way through my thesis I’ll have time to start work on my last major assignment.
I love the job and I love the surroundings but I really miss Frank! It’s not that I can’t manage without him, just that I guess I’d rather not - he really is my better half :-)
