Wildflowers in September
Spent the day yesterday with some work experience students searching for Spiral Sun-Orchids (Thelymitra mattewsii) but the first track only yielded some rather cute dwarf greenhoods and the students were getting a bit discouraged after two hours of fruitless searching.
The second track was much more rewarding as we found some almost straight away and in the end we located at least 76 plants with 17 having flower buds, two plants had double buds. I still haven't seen them in flower yet but if the afternoon is warm perhaps they will flower today.
Photos still to come :-)
