Saturday - last day of the trip
We left Mandorah quite early and returned our camping gear to Mal at Gone Bush just before lunchtime. He only charged us for 10 days instead of 12 which was very nice of him. He was happy we had arrived fairly early so he could take off and go fishing once he'd dropped all the gear off at the dry cleaners.
We headed into Darwin proper to seek out an internet cafe and check in online, but ended up doing it on the phone because of the ineptitude of the guy looking after the internet PCs. We thought we had good seats but they turned out to be the row in front of the exit row, and those seats don't recline so we didn't get a lot of sleep on the way back.
After the internet cafe we went to the book exchange, then a very pleasant lunch followed by another book exchange. Then on to the Esplanade to read a book and watch the boats go by. We went to the Darwin wharf for dinner, boy was it crowded, very pleasant place to watch the sun go down on a thoroughly enjoyable vacation!
